Joshua Superhalk is a puny, bald and modest gardener from Ohio. His life is going nowhere until he meets Tony Raymond, a hot, tall man with a passion for bird watching.

Joshua takes an instant disliking to Tony and the stingy and cowardly ways he learnt during his years in Scotland.

However, when a goblin tries to frame Joshua, Tony springs to the rescue. Joshua begins to notices that Tony is actually rather charming at heart.

But, the pressures of Tony's job as a navigator leave him blind to Joshua's affections and Joshua takes up reading to try an distract himself.

Finally, when cowardly private detective, Mo Bogtrotter, threatens to come between them, Tony has to act fast. But will they ever find the frantic love that they deserve?
